“THE JOURNEY OF A THOUSAND MILES BEGINS WITH ONE STEP.”
LAO TZU
“Lord help me this year to fulfill the potential I have to make a difference in other people’s lives.” I wrote that in my journal in 2015. I prayed many days and nights to be where I’m at. We’ve all heard it before but “faith with no works is dead.” You can’t expect things to happen if you’re doing nothing towards your calling.
Enhancing beauty from the outside in has always been in me. Doing hair at 14 and throughout college helped me help women feel better about themselves. Helping women with fitness goals was still working on the exterior of things. Teaching women self love was from the inside and made everything else easy.
We focus on the exterior more than interior. It’s a problem that’s deeply rooted and you have to recognize it, to fix it. After training for a few years and talking to enough women I realized the problem wasn’t the goal. The goal is usually to lose weight. Once you lose the weight or stop working out with me majority went right back to old ways. Long term I wanted more for my girls. I wanted to give them confidence so when they weren’t with me they could own the gym or park. Confidence takes you a long way.
Empower- make (someone) stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their right.
You have to surround yourself by positive people. We can be so competitive at times. You honestly can’t do it alone. Keep yourself surrounded by hungry and like minded people. There’s always something we can learn from each other. The need for collaborations are now. So much room for us all to win but you have to be willing to listen sometimes. I’m a natural born talker so believe me I understand if it’s hard for you.
Even if you’re doing the same thing I’m doing we can help each other build to be bigger and stronger. FEAR holds so many people back. We get scared thinking someone will steal our idea. They might execute your idea before you. Well remember they can’t do it how God called you to do it.
Don’t let how other’s react harden you. Before you know it you’ll be in depression mode and still. If you’ve ever crossed paths with me you’ll know I believe we all can win. The sisterhood being created is needed. We can be our biggest downfall. Everyone isn’t in competition with you. Look at yourself and know that your worthy. Anything you put your mind to you can do. Creating connections and long lasting relationships
I seen a post online and want to she it with you. “3 types of people you want to surround yourself around 1. The inspired 2. The excited 3. The grateful. How are you helping empower another woman?
