Finding Balance

“24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week and 365 days in a year.”

Still everyone can say it’s not enough time in a day or the year just passed us by. It’s not really how fast the day goes but what we get accomplished in the day that’s important.

Since becoming a mother I have no off switch. I can say for myself I’m making up for all those years when it was time to execute things and nothing got accomplished. It’s my job to set the standard. What our kids see we embed in them.

Soccer mom, fitness instructor, working a 9-5 and building my brand. Those all could be excuses to get nothing done. Those very things are what give me energy.  My best friend says if I could I would task 3 years in one week. I don’t think that’s true…

I remember growing up my mother worked 7 days a week. I was very active when I was younger. I cheered, danced, and stepped my mother’s schedule didn’t allow her to make it to anything. That discouraged me even though I had strong women around me that filled in her place. It wasn’t the same but I understood. So I made a promise to self to make sure if I had kids to pick up on the pieces that left me with a void.

“Don’t get me wrong her love was like no other and still is until this day. So you can see why I love so hard on my son. That was nourished inside of me.”

Life is about balance I might not keep my son in an activity throughout the year. I make sure that he does do something in one of the seasons. Also, I talk to him and find out what his interests are and we do things to help him figure out one day what he’ll like to be one day. If you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up he’ll tell you a Doctor or an Architect. Whichever one will make sure he has a Lamborghini. If he like it mommy loves it.

I’m mom first and his friend second. Grandma’s his best friend she knows more secrets than me. Even though I may wear many different hats being Sincere’s mother is number one. Being tired is a state of mind and I’m too hungry to slow down right now. I know he’s watching me so I have to show him what hard work looks like.

In life you have choices and my baby didn’t choose to be here. So I had to choose to be the best mommy I could be for him. I don’t ever want to toot my own horn but the fact that he’s been honor roll year round I know I’m doing an ok job. You

You make time for the things you want to. Just never get so busy working you forget to live a little…
